We have all seen 3d movies during some point in our lives,it added a whole new dimension to movie viewing experience quite literally.some have tried to bring this experience to game's ,Remember Elsa’s 3D Revelator glasses which was released in 1999. The shades came bundled with Elsa’s Erazor cards, worked with DirectX games, and required a minimum 100 Hz refresh rate. so only CRT display were capable enough to push that kind of refresh rates. as LCD's became the latest buzz word many users shifted to it due to various advantages like low power consumption and low radiation .but LCD's released back then were only capable of supporting refresh rates up to 60hz this became a huge problem for elsa as their glasses require minimum of 100mhz refresh rate other wise the refresh rate in each eye was too low for flicker-free game play.

Of Late NVIDIA has released GEFORCE 3D VISION GLASSES.these glasses when worn will give you the same effect that you get when you see a 3d movie with a 3d eye wear.it is a cool concept and brings the gamers one step closer to an immersive gaming experience.the GEFORCE 3D VISION GLASSES utilizes a technology called Stereoscopic Technology.

This technology enable's a stereo display system to present two images: one for the right eye and one for the left. Combined, they create the appearance of depth. Now, there are couple of different ways to present stereoscopic images, both of which require eye wear.so using these glasses when you play game's like far cry 2 or crysis, you will feel as though debris are flying out of your monitor thus making the game a more immersive experience.the glasses has been release for a price tag of 199$.before getting the glass you have to get the compatible hardware's to get the full experience.

Any geforce midrange card is supported by the glasses.higher end cards like the gtx2xx series are aslo supported.eventhough nvidia has stated that the glasses would give a flicker free gaming experience on monitors with 60hz refresh rate, monitors with 120hz refresh rate is needed. The list of compatible panels is particularly short right now: Samsung’s SyncMaster 22” 2233RZ and ViewSonic’s VX2265wm are the only two LCDs currently cited. But a number of Mitsubishi 1080p DLP TVs also support stereoscopic operation, as does one projector listed in Nvidia’s compatibility sheet.

It is really nice to see big companies like NVIDIA taking steps to give a new perspective to gaming.this ought to spice up things for gamers in the future.

Here are some video's and screen shot's of GEFORCE 3d vision

Nokia Phones are often solid bars . But the latest release seems to make this clause different. Their recent release the N85 is a for bearer to it.It is sleek even though it encompass the two way slider. During the first usage the slider may seems to work to perfectly, but continuous use only will show the true color of the phone .The screen is OLED ,a first for Nokia and measures 2.6 inches . The multimedia buttons on the two-way slider seems pretty good and the back lighting is good. For the first time Nokia has offered a USB charger;and the data cable and a/c adapter both utilize the same port. Music quality is good and the N85 8 Gb is a good phone to use a music PMP;the screen does let down for video playback.Additional goodies like WLAN and GPS with Nokia maps keep things interesting.Actually to say we have no dearth of choice to buy this phone when compared to other N series

This is a 4 GB PMP which is slightly larger than the iPod touch and looks decent with its glossy finish. The buttons are placed to the right of the screen with volume controls at the side of the device. This PMP is very easy to use .There are three skins to choose, to enhance your viewing pleasure .The ear buds which are supplied provide a decent sound quality. It has a inbuilt FM which can store up to 20 preset channels, Voice recording can be done and the recorded voice are saved in .wav format .Ironically this device doesn’t support wav playback. This causes the device to hang. The view screen is 2.8 inch LCD with a glossy finish to it, the resolution is 320x240.A distinct feature is that if its shuts down during the course of the play back it resumes for the instance at which it was interrupted .It also features Blue tooth 2.0. Priced at Rs 8,500 not one of the best to invest in.

The Sony Ericson Xperia X1 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. It is a very compact phone with a QWERTY keypad and a 3 inch, 800x480 pixel screen. The X1 has a brushed metal finish which resists scratches. The high resolution screen is not a best in the market; there are no problems in viewing the screen in direct sunlight. Opera is the default browser, you can also use internet Explorer 7 ,though. The 3.2 MP camera is not good in its class. The 3.5mm headset jack is a advantage, the phone does offer a decent audio quality with the bundled headphones but the audio quality is greatly improved while using other headphones like EP360.Priced at 44,500 is a bit expensive but if the rate is around the Rs. 35000,it may be worthwhile to buy.

Portable Multimedia Players(PMPs) are the new rage and its become rather fashionable to be seen with a set of earplugs stuck in your ears and Multimedia Players hooked to his belt.As the evolution technology the PMP were developed even to surf the internet and made more user-friendly . There are lot of criteria for selecting a PMP.First we must choose the capacity, the screen size, compactness.A HDD based PMP would offer more size than the Flash based PMP. A small PMP would have the smaller screen and less capacity but it will be highly compact.
